Puppy Love

The puppies all sold and moved away.  The morning after the last one left, Shyla spend HOURS wandering the backyard looking for them.  It was pretty heartbreaking. :(
I really miss the pups and think about them a lot.  What a fun experience.

Puppies!

Shyla had puppies.  We bred her with a handsome mini golden doodle sire.
She had 6 puppies, whom I fall in love with on a daily basis.

Wintertime Stuff and Photos 2016

November and December have been busy with lots of playing, family time, and the great outdoors.  Todd spent 2 weeks climbing in Laos (he promised to blog about it so stay tuned) and I spend a week surfing in Nicaragua.

Most of my time at home is spent underneath the kiddos ;)

Or doing chores with them in my lap. It's not a bad way to spend the day!

Happy Dog

Shyla is a mighty happy dog!  She is 10% complete spaz, and 90% really quite good.  I hike and run with her a lot, which makes us both happy. :)

She's made of springs.  When we come home she leaps in the air with happiness.

Dog

We got a dog!  I'm still not sure if it was a good idea or not...  But I really like her.  She's a labradoodle, 9 months old, mostly trained, and in my opinion an ideal dog.  No shedding, quiet, she fetches, follows us around, responds to training, and she's not spayed.  I remember when my childhood dog had puppies, and I'd love to give Avery the same experience of loving the puppies.

Anyhow, here she is in all her glory:

I can hardly believe this is the same dog.  She looks like a 60 pound rat!
