Best Lumpy Dog Ever

My buddy Shay died Tuesday morning :(
I hope she's in doggie heaven eating butter and bacon and canned dog food galore.

Here are some of my favorite photos of her. I REALLY loved that dog!!

Here she is preparing for doggie heaven:

Merry Christmas

My new camera has a filming function, and this week I decided to try it out. Our friends Meredeth and Jake have this darling video of themselves and their daughter walking around and smiling with Christmas music in the background- like a movie-Hallmark card. And since Todd and I don't have kids yet, I wanted to copy their cute idea and use the cat instead.

We're off to Patagonia next Friday! I'm so excited, and I plan to take about a million photos :)
Happy Holidays to all!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! After eating with my family, Todd and I headed to St. George for the long weekend with our friend Bryce. We biked and climbed, and we had perfect weather. I am thankful for vacations! (Tis the season to thankful, right?)

Yosemite

We went to Yosemite again in October. Becca and I left the boys after a couple days and did some kayaking on Lake Tahoe. What a trip! We already have plans to return to Yosemite next Spring so Todd can tackle some more big wall projects.

Here's Todd hanging a ladder.

While Todd and Mark tackled big walls, Becca and I hiked Yosemite Falls and swam in the pooles that have been carved out by falling water.

Red Pine

We went for a quick backpacking trip last week to Red Pine Lake. Here's our site- amazing view! (A little chilly for August!)

On our hike out we were met by an enormous Moose! He seemed as interested in us as we were in him!

The Subway

We hiked the Subway in Zion National Park a few weeks ago. It was incredible! Nine miles of hiking, swimming, scrambling, freezing, sweating, photographing, (have I missed anything?) oh yeah- water-sliding- through fields, slick rock, and slot canyons. Highly recommended for anyone in good enough shape!

It was so fun, and our "host family," the Holdens- Natalie's in laws- were so fun to spend time with. I hope to repeat this hike in the future. And if only I could upload more than 2 or 3 photos at a time I'd post a few more. Oh well.

The Uintas

We went camping and climbing in the Uintas several weeks ago. It was beautiful!!! And only a two hour drive! (I've traveled countless hours for adventures of the same degree :)
Here are a few photos from our trip. And yes, that is snow on the ground, even in July!
