Paint Night

This post is overdue but I wanted to record my talented niece's and nephew's accomplishments :)

Todd and I had 13 of them over (nieces and nephews) and everyone painted a canvas.  Then 10 slept over, and Todd filmed a movie with them in the morning.  It was so fun!!

Here are most of the finished paintings:

Picknick

We went on a picknick a couple weeks ago and I took tons of pictures for fun.  I have about 50 of Todd making goofy faces, and three of him actually smiling.  It was pretty funny trying to trick him into making a serious face, and we laughed and laughed...

Here are a few:

Sometimes the picture just before and just after a jump are the funniest ones.

Poor Todd and his lame-o wrist brace.  Another freak injury for my poor husband!

This is actually 2 pictures combined- we were pretending to sit at
a floating table.  I put Todd's pic into mine for fun (you can tell.)

Calf Creek Falls

We were invited to camp at Calf Creek Falls with some  nieces and nephews this weekend.  It was awesome!  Great camping, pleasant hike, beautiful (cold) waterfall, and monstrous thunderstorm-flash flood!
Luckily we were back in the parking lot by the time the monsoon hit- but it literally was dumping rain in sheets while we ran around and played in it. :)  And the thunder was amazing- it was super loud, and echoed through the hundreds of slot canyons in the area and rumbled way longer than any thunder I'd ever heard.  And then we saw waterfalls forming along all the top cliff lines, water gushing into canyons below.  Then a new layer of waterfall would form half way down the cliffs, muddy and red, still gushing wildly toward the ground.  After a few of these layers, the violent flood finally the flood made it to our level in the parking lot and zoomed straight for us- then was routed away and down along the side of the road.  (Thank you, civil engineering!)
Now THAT was cool!

Todd's Picassoesque- earth art: those eyelashes are definitely Hammond eyelashes!

These Hammond cousins are all best friends- and they have so much fun together!

The hike was beautiful and perfect temperature in the morning.  But very hot on the way out.

While camping I got Todd to pose with me for a romantic shot:

We took some light graffiti pics as well:
