Carlsbad 2016

We spent a week at the beach in Carlsbad, California.  It was a wonderful trip.  Casey and Riley came for most of it, which made the trip even more fun!

We stayed in a fantastic timeshare (thanks Mom!) right by LEGOLAND.  We went with zero plans or expectations, and really enjoyed every day!

I got some surfing in but had my bum handed to me.  Oh well, bad California waves beat good Utah ones!

It was a humid rainy day and the girls left love notes for the lioness.

We spent so much time at the beach.  We went once, and sometimes twice each day to bask in the sun, lay in the sand, and play in the surf. It was heavenly.

Casey would watch all the kids so Todd and I could have date nights!  We had the gorgeous pool all to ourselves.

Todd and I did some sunrise runs while Casey stayed with the kiddos.

We only went out to eat twice.  It was much easier to eat in the condo with the kitchen.

There was a huge fire pit by the 2 humongous pools and 3 oversized hot tubs.  It was so fun to sit around it at night.

We swam in the pools daily.  Our condo's back door looked into the pool area so it was easy to access.

We spent the last night at Mission beach with roller coasters, cotton candy, and of course beach time.
